  • See if you have the skills of a dolphin. 
  • Ask the children to stand in a circle and toss a beach ball in the air. 
  • How long can you keep it aloft just bouncing it with your heads or noses?

CRAFT

Ethiopian was reading Isaiah on a scroll

Material
  • Choose the type of paper (old paper, wrinkled), cut to size 1-2 inches shorter than the chop sticks
  • 2 chop sticks per child
  • Marker or crayon
  • Small rope or yarn
 
Steps
  • Glue 1 chop stick to the top edge of the paper and the other chop stick to the bottom of the paper.
  • Write “Jesus gave his life to save us’’
  • Roll the paper around the top and bottom of the chop sticks until they meet in the middle.
  • Tie the scroll with the small rope or yarn.

GAME

Pass It on (the message)

Material
  • Plastic spoons
  • Plastic 10 eggs, or small pots per team
  • Paper
  • Crayon or marker
  • Scissors
  • Blindfold
 
Steps
  • Divide the children into teams and make a line.
  • With the paper, cut into small pieces and write a letter on each piece.

  • Put a letter in each egg
  • Use the plastic spoons to pass the eggs down a line.
  • When all the eggs have been pass down, the team tries to unscrambled the message Philip explained to Ethiopian.

CREATIVE SNACK

Ethiopian’s scroll

Material
  • Pretzels
  • Fruit roll-ups

Steps
  • Wrap the fruit roll-up around the pretzels, leaving it open in the middle to form a scroll.

OBJECT LESSON

Material
  • A bible written in a foreign language.

Steps
  • Ask someone to read a Acts 8:30,31 verse from a foreign language bible.
  • Ask them to try to explain what the verse means.
