- Place the “O”s in a bowl.
- Ask the children to transfer all the “O”s from one bowl to another one at a time.
- Give them 4 minutes to complete this task.

CRAFT

- Construction paper or felt
- Scissors
- Hole punch
- String
- Paper
- Glue

Steps
- Tell the children to trace their hands on a piece of paper or felt.
- Tell them to cut out their handprint.
- Then, with them, repeat the operation four times.
- Have the children punch holes using a hole punch on the left side of the handprint.
- Tell them to thread the string through the holes to turn the handprints into a small prayer book.
- Print the words “I pray for” and other words like family, church, friends or other things they can pray for. Cut them out.
- Tell the children to stick “I pray for” on the first handprint (the cover).
- Ask them to paste the rest of the words on the following pages (1 word per page).
- Let the children draw illustrations on the hands of the words.
- Make the connection with the story of the day. Hannah prayed for a long time.

- Marshmallows

- Place a marshmallow in front of each child.
- Tell them that if they don’t touch this marshmallow and wait, they’ll get two marshmallows. Do not specify how long they have to wait. Then tell the children to wait 15 minutes without mentioning anything more.
- At the end of the 15 minutes, give a second marshmallow to the children who have not touched their marshmallow.
- Make the connection with the story of the day. Hannah waited and prayed until she got what she asked for and more.

- The first person to remove the coin from their ice cube without putting it in their mouth or hitting it with another object is the winner.
